Who is unconventional mama?

Hi! I’m Avery and I’m a 20-something stay at home mama of a baby girl (nearly 1!). Based in the UK, I started this blog in December 2022. I’m learning everyday on raising my little one and hope to help and support other mums through the lifelong rewarding journey that is motherhood

The prospect of becoming a mum was exciting but also scary, as it is for anyone! I read several books but I found the best advice came from other mummy blogs which is what inspired unconventional mama. I felt a close relatability to these mums who spoke from their heart in their owns words offering support and reassurance as well as advice. When my little one was born I wanted to help others in the same way, inviting other mums on the same journey with me

I love being a stay at home mum but realised I needed an identity other than just ‘mum’ (which is perfectly okay!). Being a mum can be somewhat isolating but doesn’t have to be! I want this blog to be a relatable guide to bring other mums together

This is a pregnancy and parenting blog where I offer checklists to ensure you have everything you need in various situations, advice and tips during pregnancy, activity ideas for your little one and more!
